A Lesson To Learn From John Reese
Just yesterday, I was notified that John Reese is shutting down Blog Rush project which started late quarter last year.
It started well with lot of people joining the network and putting the blogrush widget on their blog. Almost every blog you visit, you are bound to see one of this BlogRush widget at the sidebar of the blog.
The initial purpose for this Blog Rush project is to help blogger get targeted traffic to their blog. But I guess when it is being seen everywhere, people get used to it so it they don’t bother clicking on it. Therefore losing it effectiveness hence the shut down of this project of John Reese.
So what can we learn from this project of John Reese?
Do not be afraid of making mistake!
When I get started online, I wanted to get everything done the right way like creating a perfect landing page, a perfect product so on and so forth. End up I get nothing done because I was afraid of making mistake. You see even a great marketer like John Reese have his fair share of mistake too so what make me different.
The most important thing is to have the courage to face the mistake you made and learn from your mistake and move on from there. That is how successful people become successful. They turn their mistake into a stepping stone for their success.
And that is what I did for my first product at 7dollarkillertemplates. It is the first time I wrote my salesletter, there are lots of mistake I make in this sales letter because English is not my first language but I was not afraid and I go ahead and launch it.
Till today, I am still getting sales from that “Not So Perfect” salesletter.
As time move on, my copywriting skills do get better as you can see in new product like SBO PLR Domination and SBO Resale Treasures.
So don’t let making mistake be an obstacle in your online business!
Are you using facing this problem too? I’d love to hear your feedback!

Hi!
I red your post and thought it was worth commenting.
I was a instant BlogRush user when it was released last year. I never imagined this widget could ever fail because I believed this was a surefire method to generate targeted traffic to your website although I never got the kind of traffic I had hoped for when I signed up. Now to here that such project could fail and be terminated was a shock. The Internet is still evolving, technology is evolving, ideas and strategies are evolving so I think we haven’t seen all the potential of the Internet. John Reese tried one idea, it didn’t work out, but I’m sure he or someone else will come up with a revolutionary new method to generate traffic that will work better than the BlogRush widget.
BlogRush is dead long live the BlogRush!

Hi John,
I agree totally with you. Before I used to read everything from a program to make sure I was going to implement 100% once I started to never getting started or to do it half way. Now I realize that was a mistake from me.
What I do instead is, I build brick by brick my projects and go back as soon as can to where I started the project when I have time. I don’t build my projects wanting to finish them all all at once like I used to. You can only know if something works if you try it. So you have to start it and see if it works. If it doesn’t then you move to the next one. But at least you got to getting started somewhere.
Regards,
Maurice
