Are you tiring of not succeeding online after trying internet marketing 1 year or 2 years or maybe even 3 years. Did you ever ask yourself why you did not succeed online but other gurus did? That is the question I ask myself just few months back.

You see to have success online, the most powerful asset you need to have is a list of subscribers and customers. You can use service like aweber to manage your list with a minimum cost.

That is what I did when first get online because that what most guru teaches.  But does that mean  you can earn a huge income with that list. For me, I did not. The reason I did not make money with this list is because I miss out on this one “factor“, not building trust and relationship with my list.

The mistake that most beginners made like I did is that we follow what the guru teaches but did not take into consideration that our list size is different.

You see the guru are able to email just promo email to their list and nothing else and make lots of money is because they are already established with huge list and are able to leverage their effort to build their list fast by launching a new products with big JV partners.

Therefore their list building is very fast compare to us. And that is why if we follow what the guru did, email our list with just promo email and nothing else, our subscribers will lose trust with us and unsubscribe from us fast and in turn our list building effort is not fully utilize and that is the main reason why most people are not making any money online.

I hope you get my point after explaining to you the above. In order for beginner marketers to succeed online, you need to do something more and that is to provide value to your subscribers and not just promotional email.

If you notice just a few months ago, I sent out an email to my list telling them that I  am changing the way I do business online, I am going to provide as much valuable content to my list as possible while still recommend good product that can increase their business.

That is when, I started SBOAcademy Newsletter. If you have not sign up, you can do so by filling up your information on the right of this blog.

Personally, this is the most important decision that I made for my business in 2008 and I believe my business will move to the next level.

In conclusion, I want to thank Lee-Mycintyre for creating a great product title Project New Web that open my eyes to realize this and causes me to make this change in my business. If you have not been providing value to your list, I strongly urge you to do so from today onwards.

This news may shock many of you out there who are selling on ebay or using ebay to drive traffic to your site. In fact I was kind of disappointed when I heard the news. I was disappointed because I was about to start using ebay to drive traffic to my sites.

So as of 31st March 2008 anyone selling digital items will be in violation of eBay’s policies. With this new change, I expect alot of marketers that are selling products that related to ebay, need a major update on their products as these products became obsolete when this news is released.

So what can we do now?

To me every problem come opportunity. As an Internet marketer, we need to stay positive and take the problem like a bread that we can eat to make us strong. You see the opportunity we have now is to find a solution to this problem and we could create a product that share with people how to solve this problem.

Do you think people will buy it? Of course because there are tons of sellers on ebay that need this solved. What an opportunity! So instead of focusing on this negative news, let moved on and focus on the positive.

One of the way that you can cut short your learning curve is to learn from someone that had done it before. So if you want to succeed online, learn from someone who had already done so.

So who should you learn from online?

In my opinion, you should learn from someone you truly respect and someone that has a similar business model as you. For example if you are building your business using PLR then you want to follow someone that build their business through PLR too! Then you can learn things that can help you in your business.

The reason why so many people fail in their online business is that they are following too many marketers. Different marketers has different ways of doing things even though they have the same business model.

That is when people get confused why different marketers are teaching different things so they give up and say they stuff does not work. But in the actual fact is that if you follow closely to 1 marketer, I am sure your rate of success will surely be higher as you are less likely to get confuse.

In the rest of this post, I am going to share 2 marketers that I truly respect and follow closely after beside Jesus Christ.

1. Jimmy D Brown from Small Report Fortune - He is a marketer that uses viral marketing successfully. If you type his name in google, you are probably see tons of website that is reference his name. Why I respect him so much is that he market with integrity which to me is the utmost important. Treating customer with respect is one of the value I learn from him.
2. Lee Mcintyre from Standing Start Profits - He is an ex teacher from UK who just quit his job recently. In actual fact, I just notice him not long ago and had find that he provides real value to his subscribers and that is why it caught my notice.  In addition, the way he teaches is easy to understand maybe because he is a teacher.

Did you notice that I do not follow after many marketers. That is one key to success that I want to get hold off. I used to follow after many marketers and I end up getting more confused and information overload. Lately I find out that, if I just follow after 1 or 2 marketers that I respect, I can get things done more effectively and efficiently.

If you are still following after marketer after marketer that promises you earning millions online with a few months, I suggest that you stop doing that and start finding someone who can mentor you to help you succeed in your business.

Today I just feel like sharing what is a life of an part-time marketer. You probably had heard alot of full-time marketer sharing how life is great being a full-time marketer. So before I get to this kind of life, let me share with you my hectic schedule. Hope I will not  scare you off to become a internet marketer.

6.45am - Just woke up

As usual wake up to prepare to go to work as a Master Data Administrator. Even though it is great to not to squeeze in the train with people the next time but currently I am learning to enjoy the journey to work.

8.30pm - Reach Office

By this time I had finished reading my daily bible quite time and start doing my task in my office.

1pm - Lunch Time

During my lunch time, I am able to check some of the support email that I need to reply to my customer. Usually I took a quick lunch to do this task of mine. Haha!

2pm - Continue To Work

At this point, I carry doing my full time work stuff until 5.30pm which is my off work time. Nothing interesting here!

 7pm - Reach Home

Yes I reach home at 7pm and then have dinner with my wife. After dinner, I will spent some quality time with my wife talking to her or accompany her watch tv programmes to relax ourselves.

10pm - 1am The Real Fun Start

10pm is the time my wife usually sleep and this is the time that is fun for me because it is the time I start working on my business. I will take out a list of tasks that I plan yesterday to complete today.

Usually there are only 3 main tasks. Each task last for an hour. This really help me to keep focus and allow me to really work on my business.

Many people are suprised with 3 hours a day, how did I create these few sites of mine:

Sometime I am amazed myself but the real secret is to plan your day and execute your task and little by little and that is how these sites came out.

The reason I can do this is because I enjoy being a marketer and enjoy helping people to succeed in their online business.

Conclusion

That is the life I am living now and very much looking forward to be a full-time marketer. I may not be as free now but I will in the future. I hope this sharing of mine will not scare you off but will encourage you that there are someone like you.

Do remember do not sacrifice your family for your success in your business. Value your love one first then work on your business.
